This is the privacy notice of Evolve Talking Therapies. In this document, “we”, “our”, or “us” refer to Susan Dixon operating in the capacity of sole owner and therapist of Evolve Talking Therapies.

What does this notice cover?

This Privacy Information explains how we use your personal data: how it is collected, how it is held, and how it is processed. It also explains your rights under the law relating to your personal data.

(1) What is Personal Data?

Personal data is defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679) (the “GDPR”) as
‘any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular by reference to an identifier’.

In simpler terms, any information about you that enables you to be identified. It includes your name, contact details, and other identifiers.

(2) What are my rights?

  • The right to be informed about our collection and use of your personal data.
  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to have your personal data rectified if inaccurate or incomplete.
  • The right to be forgotten (data deletion), subject to retention periods (up to 7–8 years).
  • The right to restrict processing of your personal data.
  • The right to object to the use of your data for specific purposes.
  • The right to data portability.
  • Rights regarding automated decision-making and profiling (we do not use these).

  • Name, date of birth, gender, address
  • Email, telephone
  • Presenting issue or goals
  • Lifestyle and work-life information
  • Therapy history
  • GP details
  • Medical/health conditions and medication
  • Job title, profession
  • Payment information
  • Preferences/interests
  • Criminal investigations, court cases, or jury service status

(4) How Do You Use My Personal Data?

We use your personal data for:

  • Managing your client/patient records
  • Supplying our services to you
  • Personalising and tailoring therapy services
  • Communicating with you (calls, emails)
  • Sending information you opted-in for
  • Legal and ethical obligations (duty of care)
  • Marketing (with express consent and anonymisation for testimonials)

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
